PHOTOSHOP TIP OF THE WEEK by Melissa

From "Accomplish The Impossible"--

"How to make someone fly"

PhotoShop Image

You will have to start with 2 photographs.

Image 1 will pose your subject on a solid background to look like they are flying. Image 2 will be your background against which Image 1 is flying.

With image 1 pulled up in Photoshop, make a duplicate layer of the image by right clicking on the layer and select “Duplicate layer.” Make sure the copied layer is highlighted. Go to the “select” menu and click on “color range”. Hold down the shift key and drag your mouse across the background until the figure is completely black, and the background is completely white. Select “ok.”

You will notice the background has been selected. Then hit the “backspace” key.

Now make sure image 2 is open. You will then use the move tool to click on image 1 and drag it into image 2. Then move the image around until you are happy with its position. Once you are done with any other adjustments, go to the “layer” menu and select “flatten image.” Don’t forget to save your new image!

"CHIMPING"
A new digital-world word describing the act of several people looking at an LCD screen showing an image just taken with a digital camera proclaiming admiration with sounds such as "Oooh", "Ahhh", etc. This fun fact is leading somewhere...
