NIKON ANNOUNCES
Nikon has announced two new DSLR cameras- the high end D300s and the entry level D3000.

The D300s marketing tag line is "Fast. Precise. Agile. Evolution in motion". The 12.3 megapixel D300s will eventually replace the current D300 model. The "s" model features 24 frame-per-second 720p HD video with sound, an external stereo microphone input, and dual memory card slots: one for Compact Flash and one SD cards. The Nikon D300s body will sell for $1799.95. The first examples are anticipated in fall.

The 10.2 megapixel D3000 will eventually replace the D40 and D60 entry-level DSLR cameras. The D3000 is touted by Nikon as"Incredible Pictures. Incredibly Easy". The D3000 retains the CCD sensor from the D60, D80, and D200 Nikons. The D3000 is sold with an 18-55mm zoom lens, which incorporates fast autofocusing, ED (low-dispersion) glass and Vibration Reduction technology. Extremely fast shutter response eliminates the annoying shutter-lag that bedevils so many point-and-shoot cameras. The D3000 with lens will sell for $599.95, and first shipments are expected in September.

INFRARED CAMERA CONVERSION
Have a backup digital camera converted to infrared. CAMERAS BROOKWOOD can convert your point and shoot or most Dslr camers to be sensitive only to the infrared region of light. Two wave length cut offs are available. The 720 nanometer wavelength gives dramatic effect; especially for black and white images. The less drastic 650 nm gives pleasing color images. The cost is $149 for compact cameras, $299 for most dslr cameras, and $369 for full frame dslr's. Turnaround time is less than two weeks.
